The park is composed of a famous 40-acre grove of towering old-growth redwood trees, grasslands, sandhills, and river areas. Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park features four distinctive ecosystems that support a variety of wildlife, such as white-tailed kites, white-crowned sparrows, blue herons, coyotes, bobcats, and black-tail deer. How to Get to
Henry Cowell Redwoods

If you're coming from the east, you can reach Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park by following Mount Herman Road until you reach Graham Hill Road. Make a left and continue about 2.5 miles; you will see the entrance to your right. If you are not going to the campground, you can use one of the other two vehicle entrances. If you're coming from south of downtown Felton, take Highway 9 in the Santa Cruz Mountains. If you're coming from Highway 17, take the Mount Hermon Road exit and follow signs to Highway 9 through downtown Felton; the entrance will be on the left.
