Carol Stream is a village located in Illinois' DuPage County. The village was incorporated in 1959, and it is one of the few communities in the United States to take its name from the first and last name of a living person. Carol Stream was the daughter of the man who founded the village, Jay Stream. The village is located only a few miles outside Chicago and currently has a population of roughly 40,000.
