Everglades National Park

Everglades National Park is the third largest park in the lower 48 states and home to several endangered species that include the West Indian manatee and Florida panther. Big Bend National Park

White Sands National Park

White Sands National Park is a quick 55-minute drive north of Las Cruces, NM, and well worth the slight detour. At this park, you'll enjoy 115 square miles of pure white dunes where you can sand sled, hike the park's five nature trails, and camp at Raptor Lake. Cruise or bike down Dunes Drive for picturesque views of the park, and then head over to the historic visitor center for program information and nature exhibits. 

Saguaro National Park

Saguaro National Park near Tucson offers breathtaking views of the Sonoran Desert and the towering saguaro cactus that the park is named after. Check out each of the two sections of the park for memorable hiking and biking experiences on the Desert Discovery Nature Trail, Valley View Overlook Trail, and Gates Pass. Take the 8-mile Cactus Forest Drive with pull-off areas to explore more of this park. 

Joshua Tree National Park

A visit to Joshua Tree National Park is a must on your Miami to Los Angeles RV road trip. Start your exploration of this park at the Cottonwood Visitor Center for information about the park's best destinations, which include Skull Rock, Keys Ranch, and Wonderland of Rocks. Hiking is available on any one of Joshua Tree's 67 trails with plenty of areas for camping, horseback riding, and ranger-led programs. Picacho Peak State Park

Picacho Peak State Park in Arizona is a hiker's dream with easy to difficult trails to explore and several historical markers located throughout the park. In the visitor center, you can peruse exhibits about the park's Civil War history and ecology of the area. 

Mount San Jacinto State Park

Mount San Jacinto State Park is just outside of Palm Springs, CA, and is known for its gorgeous panoramic views of the park from Cornell Peak and Mount San Jacinto. You can spend the day hiking the park's 48 miles of trails, exploring the Idyllwild Visitor Center, and riding up the nearby Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.

Visit the Mobile Carnival Museum on your way through Alabama to learn about the city's 300-year Mardi Gras and Carnival history with exhibits that feature costumes, floats, and party participant regalia.

Located in Phoenix, Mystery Castle was built by Boyce Gully for his daughter, who always dreamed of living in a castle.
