Burbank, California is in San Fernando Valley and was once a part of Rancho San Rafael and La Providencia, initially formed by the Spanish government's land grants. The city was founded in May of 1887 by David Burbank, a New Hampshire-born dentist who was also a great entrepreneur who established his sheep ranch in 1867.
