Frequently Asked Questions
Before setting off on your cross-country trip, consider how you’re traveling and who you’re traveling with. When planning a family vacation you will find the best deals on Class C motorhomes or travel trailers (if you have the right tow vehicle). If you don’t need much extra space and plan on going off the beaten path, a Class B camper van will be the most affordable option for you.
In addition to nightly rates, owners have the ability to set weekly rates as well. Weekly rates for an RV rental can vary greatly depending on RV type, location, and time of year. For example, a Class C motorhome rental in Los Angeles, CA will cost roughly $1,500 for a week on average, while a travel trailer in Nashville, TN can cost around $700 for a week on average.
All of the RVs on our site are eligible for one-way rentals, pending the owner’s approval.
Renters can choose the motorhome that best fits their needs. We have contracted with a third-party transportation provider to return motorhomes to their point of origin. Once the RV owner approves and the rental is booked, we step in to set the return up.
The cost associated with returning the motorhome is roughly $2 per one-way mile (which includes the driver, taxes, tolls, and any other fees associated with the return trip). This is in addition to the cost of renting the motorhome for the added return dates but will be billed separately.
Finding an RV that fits your family and lifestyle is a challenge in itself. When you add a pet into the mix, it can make it that much harder. It doesn’t have to be hard, though! With a little more research, you’re sure to find the right RV rental that will meet not only your expectations but your pet's as well.
Insurance and Protection is automatically included in the quote when booking an RV on RVshare through the RVshare Protection Plan. Renters will have the opportunity to pay for upgraded coverage at the time of booking.
