Hanging Rock State Park

Hanging Rock State Park is about two and a half hours northwest of Fort Bragg, so you could make a detour to go there at the end of your trip. The park is named for a scenic rock outcrop called Hanging Rock. There are numerous waterfalls, rock formations, cliffs, and gorgeous views in the park. Hiking, camping, fishing, and rock climbing are popular.

Fort Smith National Historic Site

Memphis, Tennessee

Memphis, Tennessee, is home to Elvis Presley's former home, Graceland. You can also visit Sun Studio, the birthplace of rock and roll. Memphis also boasts the National Civil Rights Museum and the Stax Museum of American Soul Music. For the kids, you can visit the Memphis Zoo and the Peabody Ducks.
