The California Watermelon Festival, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the community. Proceeds support service-oriented non-profit entities and school youth development programs. The California Watermelon Festival buys over 50,000 pounds of the best, largest, sweetest melons in the state, freshly harvested, chilled and sliced. It’s all-you-can-eat so enjoy!

Includes: Knocker Ball, Rock Climbing, Euro Bungie, Carnival, Beer Garden, and Kid’s Rides!

California Watermelon Festival Costume Contest – Sunday 1 PM (1st Prize $300, 2nd Prize $200, 3rd Prize $100!)

Come one, come all! Build your one-in-a-melon watermelon costume! Get wild, get silly, go big with your design, and compete to win cash prizes! Contestants of all ages are welcome.

California Watermelon Festival Rising Stars Talent Contest– Saturday 7 PM (1st Prize $150, 2nd Prize $100, 3rd Prize $50!)

Is there a special young person in your life who is a talented singer, dancer, juggler or blessed with another amazing talent? Now is your chance to showcase their talents to the world and get them the recognition they deserve!

ON-SITE AMENITIES

A baby changing station and nursing station is next to the rest area the Kid’s Zone.

There is a lost and found at the Information Booth near the entrance. The California Watermelon Festival is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

RVING AT THE EVENT

Hollywood RV Park

Hollywood RV Park was previously known as Balboa RV Park. This RV camping area is located in the heart of Hollywood. It’s a short distance away from popular sightseeing destinations like Beverly Hills and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Learn more on the location’s website!

Dockweiler RV Park

Dockweiler RV Park is operated by Los Angeles County government. It’s advertised as being the only Los Angeles RV park located directly on the beach. This park boasts views of Malibu and Catalina Island. Learn more on the location’s website!

HOW TO GET THERE

The Hansen Dam Soccer Complex in Lake View Terrace is easy to access right off the 210 Freeway. Just take the Osborne street exit and head south on Foothill Blvd (away from the hills). Travel a quarter mile and you’re at the entrance.

PARKING

Parking is available at the venue for $10. Limited street parking is available on Foothill Blvd. north of the 210 freeway.

TICKETS & PRICING

Adult Ticket ($15) Ages 12 and over require an adult ticket.

Child Ticket ($10) Ages 3 - 11 require a child ticket. Children two and under are free.

Unlimited Carnival Rides ($55)

  • On the day of the festival, an unlimited carnival ride pass will be $55.
  • Good from 10AM to 10PM.
