Head just north of Riverside toward San Bernardino, and you’ll find Glen Helen Regional Park. It is a favorite of locals due to the two lakes and water park on-site, but it’s also home to a comfortable and affordable RV camping area. The park sits at the base of the Cajon Pass, offering a great up-close view of both the San Bernardino and San Gabriel Mountains.
Make a visit to Glen Helen Regional Park during a normal day, and you’ll find a great little RV park that can serve as home base for hikes into the surrounding mountains. This park also plays host to regular events. In addition to fishing year round, it’s home to the Glen Helen Amphitheater, a venue that presents shows featuring both local and nationally known musicians.
“The pool is like a lake, it is the deepest in the middle. There’s a splash pad right next to it along with 2 waterslides. There are trees, grass and plenty of shade near the water although I saw people with easy ups. It gets a bit pricey because you pay for admission to the park and then again to get into the waterpark.” – Jenni, TripAdvisor Review
