Great Salt Lake State Park

Inside Great Salt Lake State Park

You can find many things to do at Great Salt Lake State Park, which is located on the lake’s south shore. Consider starting your visit with a stop at the visitor center, where you can learn more about this lake’s lore, and seeing the brine shrimp that live in the lake. Listen to an audio tour as you walk along the rocky shoreline to Silver Sands Beach. Follow the path next to the marina to walk along the shore to watch a stunning sunset. Go on a sunset cruise, rent a boa,t or launch your own from the boat docks to enjoy this lake from the water.

Outside Great Salt Lake State Park

Once you have explored the lake’s shoreline and floated on its surface, there are many other things to do nearby. Since this park is located near Salt Lake City, you can choose to explore Tabernacle Square and other attractions. Great Salt Lake State Park

If you are in Salt Lake City, it is easy to get to Great Salt Lake State Park. Get on Interstate 80 West, and take Exit 104. Turn left on the North Temple Frontage, and follow that road to the state park.
