The Sundance Film Festival is the ultimate gathering of original storytellers and audiences seeking new voices and fresh perspectives. Our annual program includes dramatic and documentary features and short films; series and episodic content; and New Frontier, showcasing emerging media in the form of multimedia installations, performances, and films. We also host daily filmmaker conversations, panel discussions, and live music events. Since 1985, hundreds of films launched at the Festival have gone on to gain critical acclaim and reach new audiences worldwide.

RVING AT THE EVENT
There is a great RV campground right in Park City. Park City RV Resort is located on the Lincoln Highway in the mountains about 15 miles east of the city, Park City RV Resort is a perfect place to stop during a road trip. You can drive down to the city in less than 30 minutes to see famous sites like the tural History Museum of Utah. Hikers and skiers will also want to explore the mountains at sites like Twin Peaks or Wasatch Mountain State Park. Learn more on the location’s website!

Mountain Valley RV Resort
Situated near the junction of state routes 40 and 189 outside of Heber City, Mountain Valley RV Resort is about a 40-mile drive away from downtown Salt Lake City. It’s a good stopping place for travelers avoiding Interstate 80 through the city or outdoors enthusiasts exploring the area. River’s Edge RV Resort
One of the better RV parks near Salt Lake City is River’s Edge RV Resort. Located north of Heber City and under the Jordanelle Reservoir’s dam, this campground is perfect for those who want to visit Wasatch Mountain State Park. WHERE TO STAY
If you want to be in the heart of the Festival, stay on Main Street. A few of the hotels on Main Street include: The Caledonian, Washington School House, and Parkite on Main.
If you want affordability, stay in Kimball. A few of the hotels in Kimball include:Newpark Resort: A Destination Hotel, Hampton Inn & Suites Park City, and Holiday Inn Express & Suites.
If you want a different perspective, stay in Salt Lake City. A few of the hotels in Salt Lake City include: Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City, Grand America Hotel, and Little America Hotel.
HOW TO GET THERE
Park City, Utah is less than half a day away by plane from anywhere in the United States, and once you land at Salt Lake City International Airport, Park City is an easy, 35-minute ride from the airport.
Park City has several transportation companies that offer fast and convenient round-the-clock service to and from Salt Lake International Airport - everything from limos to vans to buses.
PARKING
The best way to move around in Park City is to make use of their free public transit system. Sundance Film Festival is not known for having a lot of parking spaces and the ones they have are either too expensive or overly crowded by the time you get to the venue.
The Transport Director of the Sundance Institute has always advised the visitors to make use of the available shuttle system at the Park City. The institute also suggests parking their cars at their lodges or parking them at the Park and Ride Areas. The official website will also keep you posted regarding the Sundance parking situation and how you can navigate your way through less crowded routes.
