Kings Mountain State Park is a massive public recreation area located near Blacksburg, South Carolina. Created in 1934, the state park was mainly developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps and has since been added to the National Register of Historic Places. It contains a total land area of 6,885 acres, which you can explore to appreciate dense greenery, wildlife, and compelling scenery. The land was originally donated by the U.S. Government as a 6,141-acre plot, but it wasn't until 1995 that the remaining 744 acres were acquired and made a part of the public recreation area. On the way from Charlotte, start by getting onto I-277 N from W 6th St and N Graham St. After taking I-85 S to NC-161 S/York Rd in Kings Mountain, take exit 8 from I-85 S. Continue on NC-161 S/York Rd. Drive to Lake Crawford Rd in York County to arrive at the destination.
On the way from Charleston, start by getting onto I-26 W. After following I-26 W and I-77 N to SC-901 N in York County, take exit 73 from I-77 N. Take SC-5 and SC-161 to Lake Crawford Rd to arrive at the destination.
