Surrounded by the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, Umpqua Lighthouse State Park is located less than a mile from Salmon Harbor on Winchester Bay. This small state park mainly consists of the campground, which provides easy access to sand dunes that can rise over 500 feet tall as well as paths to the lighthouse. The day-use area is the ideal place for a picnic. This park was first established around 1930 from land given to the state by Douglas County, Oregon, and it has seen its boundaries change many times. The drive to the park is very convenient as it is located about six miles southeast of Reedsport, Oregon; 19 miles north of North Bend, Oregon; and about 16 miles east of Scottsburg, Oregon.

Inside Umpqua Lighthouse State Park

If you're looking for a secluded camping location near plenty of things to do, then head to Umpqua Lighthouse State Park. Once you reach the top of the hill where the RV campground is located, relax and watch the deer play. This state park also offers a few hiking trails with others located nearby.

Reedsport Skate Park

Since its opening in 2003, many skaters have come to ride their boards at this 13,000-square-foot park. It combines elements for street skating with funnel and pool-shaped sections as well.

Umpqua River Lighthouse

This 65-foot-tall lighthouse warned sailors of impending danger for many years. You can tour it from May to October. A Coast Guard museum is also located on the same property.

Umpqua Lighthouse State Park

It's quite easy to get to this state park from Reedsport, Oregon. Start by getting on US 101 S. Travel about 4.7 miles until you reach Lighthouse Road. Turn right, and the park will be about 0.4 miles ahead of you on the left.
