Located south of downtown Tumalo, Tumalo State Park rests along Oregon's breathtaking Deschutes River. The town of Bend is a short seven-mile drive from the park, making it close enough for quick runs to get extra camping supplies. As for the park, it has miles upon miles of challenging yet scenic hiking trails where you'll come across wildlife such as deer, coyotes, eagles, and blue herons. When you visit, you'll enjoy the moderately mild temperatures, but keep in mind that it can become quite hot in the summer.

Inside Tumalo State Park

Tumalo State Park is the ideal place for anyone who loves hiking, biking, fishing, or picnicking. Outside of these outdoor adventures, you can go swimming or tubing in the Deschutes River or relax in the sunshine. From downtown Tumalo, head east on 4th Street toward Cook Avenue. You'll then turn at the first intersection and follow the road to your destination.

Tumalo State Park is open from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
