Fallbrook is a census-designated place (CDP) in San Diego County with an estimated population of around 30,000 people. The first permanent settlement here came in 1846 when Ysidro Alvarado received a land grant from the governor of Mexican California. While platted in 1885, Fallbrook was never incorporated.
