Joshua Tree National Park

Located in southern California, this vast protected area is characterized by its stark desert landscapes and rugged rock formations. The park is named for the bristled and unique Joshua trees. This recreation area includes over 29 miles of shoreline, and the park even contains a lagoon and an upper lake. Six Flags Magic Mountain

This theme park is often known simply as Magic Mountain. It is located outside of Santa Clarita and has been part of the local area since 1971. With 19 roller coasters, this amusement park has been the world record holder for the most roller coasters. 

Gentle Barn Gibbon Conservation Center

This conservation center is home to more than 40 endangered gibbon apes. Guided tours are available throughout the week. There are plenty of photo opportunities at this center.
