This Colusa, CA campground is located near the Sacramento River where you can enjoy fishing, boating, and kayaking. It’s nine miles north of Sacramento. The park was once a campsite of John Muir and still retains much of the same natural beauty that he encountered there.
This is a great location for enjoying a relaxing vacation in the outdoors that is not far from Sacramento. It has excellent king-salmon, rainbow-trout, steelhead and striped-bass fishing and is on the migratory route for many birds of the Pacific Flyway. It offers bird watching and wildlife viewing and is a great place for children.
“Excellent place for camping in summer. Very close to the Sacramento River. Lots of trees so lots of shade where we camped.” – AJ, Google Review
