We rented from Ryan and his wife in June 2018. We had a very unpleasant experience. I would NOT recommend renting from Ryan - he and his wife are dishonest and exploitive. CONS: The trailer is 24' of living space - NOT 28'. The entire length of the trailer including the hitch is 27'10". Despite purchasing a service that is falsely advertised (read: FRAUD), our group of 6 adults was counting on every inch of the advertised 28 ft. Consequently, we had a very cramped camping experience. PROS: The trailer is new and in good condition overall. Dealing with Ryan and his wife was a nightmare. When we returned the trailer, his wife noticed two small burn holes in one of the bunk bed cushions that appear to have been made by a styling iron. However, when we inspected the bedding used on the bunk cushion, there was no damage to the flat or top sheet. Ryan filed a damages claim ultimately holding us responsible for $396 to replace the cushion as he claimed the two small burn holes compromised the function of the bed. However the burn holes, as noted in documented photographs of both cushion and bedding, did not even penetrate the actual cushioning. Regardless, we were forced to forfeit our deposit to pay for a replacement, despite the fact that: 1) there was no proof we were the responsible party for the actual damage 2) the damage was cosmetic and did not affect the function of cushion Prior to filing a claim with RVShare, Ryan initially sent us a text message asking for $296 to replace the cushion. We offered him $100 even though we are confident we are not responsible for the damage AND even though we paid for a falsely advertised trailer. Ryan denied our offer and used RVShare to then claim $396 of our deposit. Ryan and his wife will likely pocket this money for their own use. I would encourage any future renters of this trailer to inspect the cushions on the bunk bed to verify that Ryan exploited this opportunity to take advantage of an honest customer - even after his own dishonesty in fraudulently advertising this trailer on the RVShare website. RVShare was useless in mitigating this issue - they do nothing to protect their renters' rights. They required us to submit three separate counterclaims and NOT ONCE responded to our SEVEN requests to be contacted directly. Furthermore, they do not list any contact information of their own. We have since filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and our state Attorney General's Office.
