St Louis Missouri Class A RV Rental Reviews

After a prior rental was cancelled last minute by owner due to mechanical issues with an RV, we were in scramble mode to find a replacement or risk losing $1000's in non refundable campground and event fees/tickets. Sharon's unit showed as available but when we contacted them we were told the awning was damaged & unusable so we continued to look for other options but couldn't secure any. We went back to Sharon & asked if we could rent her unit as is. They agreed, it is more $$$ than comparable units but we had zero options. We were grateful for this. However, in the interest of making future renters aware..., be alert to ALL additional charges..., forced to take "her" insurance at $30/day..., be alert to pick up & drop off times, the drop off time will almost assuredly force you to take an extra day or travel home night before in order to avoid extra charges..., there is a $75 cleaning fee if you don't clean unit to their standard..., also..., we had electrical hookups so didn't have to run generator but had no water hookup..., there was an issue with water pressure, basically none, we turned the pump on, but still no pressure. We told Sharon about this but she told us we didn't turn water on?? We did, but...??? The unit is VERY loud when traveling down the road, so loud you couldn't hear the radio, radio seemed defective but it is what it is. In the end we were approximately 18 miles over our allowance, we were charged $8.19 for extra miles plus a 10% admin fee charged by RV Share. Given we had no use of the awning and basically no water pressure it seems mildly petty to charge for the extra 18 miles. As I said, we were stuck for a unit and grateful we found this unit to rent..., future renters be aware this owner operates strictly as a business, don't expect any relief of potential charges for extenuating circumstances. Other than issues as outlined, we would have rated this a 4 out of 5 probably

Diesel pusher motor home drove great and handled exceptionally. We were probably not the typical user since we were wilderness camping with no amenities. Coach is best used for a group of 4.
