Simi Valley California Class B RV Rental Reviews

Positive points: - RV was new and performed well. We had a great time for the week that we had it. Tip: Bring your own bedding and a mattress topper for more comfortable sleep. - The price for the RV was reasonable. - Paper plates, plastic utensils, some kitchenware, and camp chairs were included. - Plastic gloves for working with the black and grey water. - The storage box on the back of the RV was useful. - The interior was clean except for dog hair. Negative points: - The previous renter had dogs, so we were constantly sweeping out dog hair during the week. - The owner kept changing the pickup date and time, even within 24 hours of our arrival via the airport. This caused us to cancel a hotel reservation, find an uber (two of them in one night), and hang out at a shopping center until he got home. The pickup time advertised was not even close to the pickup experience. - The owner had the wrong the return date and expected us to return it a day early until I asked him to look at the contract again, and then he realized that he had the wrong date. Mistakes happen, but it caused some stress for us until he figured it out. - After a fairly smooth return process, we heard from the owner AFTER his next renters had possession of the RV. He claims that we damaged the propane regulator on the RV, which is a false claim. He and RVShare have withheld almost $300 of our deposit for the repair, which I am disputing. When we returned the RV, we went to the service station near his home that he recommended, and the attendant filled the propane to full (it was only 1/2 full when we picked up the RV). During our rental period, we had no problems with the propane, and there was no smell. We never touched the propane input. During the return, the owner confirmed that the propane tank was full and that the generator worked. He did not mention a propane smell. He didn't indicate any propane problem on the return form. It was only AFTER the next renters had possession that he accused us of damaging it. When we initially picked up the RV, he said that the first six months of ownership, the RV was in the shop for various repairs. Perhaps the propane regulator simply stopped working. Perhaps he or the next renters damaged it. There is no way to know why it stopped working, so I don't know why he feels justified in blaming us and keeping a large chunk of the security deposit. Conclusion: - I recommend renting an RV like this if you have only two people. - I do NOT recommend renting from this RV owner unless you are prepared to lose money on your security deposit for problems that you didn't cause.

Owner was always available to answer questions during our trip. A pleasure to work with.

This RV was modern and beautiful. Tanecque rushed to clean all the pet hair left by the previous occupant and have it clean so I could be on time for my wedding. Thanks so much. Perfect rental.
