South Beach State Park is south of Yaquina Bay, just over the impressively arched Yaquina Bay Bridge. The park includes several miles of coastline, and its wetlands are home to varied wildlife such as blue herons, bald eagles, turkey vultures, and beavers. From downtown Newport, head southwest, and then turn right onto West Olive Street, going just a few feet to reach Highway 101. Turn right onto Highway 101, and follow signs to the park.
