The Lone Star State is full of big cities. There’s Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and several others. They’re all great places to visit, but if you’re hoping to get a glimpse of the true spirit of Texas, you’ve got to get away from the urban centers a little bit. A city like Conroe, Texas is perfect. It’s just 40 miles from Houston, which means that it benefits from the big city economy while still maintaining a vibe all its own. Why fight the traffic when everything you could want is more or less right in town? From cultural activities to outdoor spaces to all sorts of cool places to eat, this city has a lot to offer both locals and visitors alike, especially in a motorhome rental Conroe Texas!

Don’t get us wrong: we love Houston, and we love Dallas, and we love Austin. But aside from the cowboy hats and prevalence of barbecue joints, they’re not all that different from other major American cities. Conroe, on the other hand, offers visitors true small town Texas hospitality. There’s plenty to do without making you feel overwhelmed, and the camping opportunities are excellent.
