In the park, you’ll find some of the tallest trees in the country, and the National Park Service holds hundreds of educational hikes through these trees. Congaree gets a bit misty and humid during the summer, so dress appropriately and bring water.

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is one of the most expansive locations in the National Park System. It spreads out over 500,000 acres and is home to hundreds of protected species like brown bears, elk, and bison. Croft State Park

Susquehanna State Park

If you like to hunt, bow hunting is permitted in a specific area of the park.

As one of the first stops as you travel through Florida on your way up north, the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, FL, is a great way to have a little fun. You’ll love the Guitar Hotel Light Show, which uses a massive light-up guitar to entertain casino guests.

Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial

One of the newer monuments in Washington, D.C., the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial is fronted by a large statue of the Civil Rights Movement leader called "The Stone of Hope." This memorial is the 395th unit in the National Parks Service and is located at 1964 Independence Avenue. On the nearby Inscription Wall, you’ll find several key quotes by King that are sure to inspire you and your family.

The Liberty Bell

There are few monuments more iconic in Philadelphia than the Liberty Bell, which is a symbol of freedom and justice. The bell’s first crack was formed when it first arrived in the city and was rung, but its larger crack came almost a hundred years later. There are several tours surrounding the bell that can help your family get a perspective on American history and the War for Independence. 

Six Flags Great Adventure

Jacksonville, FL

Jacksonville is also the city with the youngest median age in the state; the average Jacksonville resident is about 36 years old.

Washington, D.C.
