Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area is part of the California Department of Parks and Recreation. It has boat ramps and boat rentals, and the trails are suitable for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. It has a camp store.
This is a great place if you love fishing. The lake has striped, bass, largemouth bass, crappie, trout, catfish, and bluegill. There are limits on the amount you can take. You can bring your own boat, and it will have a free inspection for standing water and quagga mussels.
“Good, fun, cheap weekend getaway. We frequently camp at Silverwood Lake. It’s a nice facility, clean, safe and beautiful. Good fishing and great for boating and day use.” – David, Google Review
