Just 16 miles south of Daly City, Half Moon Bay State Beach is one of the top shorelines in the state for recreation. It has 4 miles of beach that are ideal for fishing and picnicking. In addition, the area has a visitor’s center where you can learn about the cultural history of the coast.
Half Moon Bay State Beach campground is a quiet, clean spot for enjoying the beach and ocean. Once you park your camper, you can swim, surf and take walks along the beach. It is a no-frills campsite, but the location makes up for that. Be sure to take some time to enjoy the magnificent sunsets.
“The sand is slightly coarse, but only one person noticed it. The surf and waves are beautiful. It is not overly crowded in April, there are nice walks and a very calming landscape.” – Ellen, Google review
