Fishing & Boating
There are plenty of great spots to go fishing in the park's streams and ponds, which is another reason why Robledo Mountains Wilderness Area is perfect if you're looking for BLM camping. In fact, you'll be able to catch trout, sunfish, white bass, and yellow perch.
Climbing
Not only does the park offer plenty of great hiking trails, but you'll also be able to enjoy world-class climbing. That's because the park's Organ Mountains offer some of the best opportunities for climbing in the country.
Wildlife Viewing
Due to the park's remote terrain, you'll have a chance to see elk, deer, bear, and other native species. The summits of the Organ Mountains are perfect for observing the park's wildlife, and you'll be able to see for miles across the desert floor below.
Picnicking
While most of the park's terrain is quite remote, this scenic New Mexico BLM site offers plenty of great spots for a picnic. In fact, you'll be able to find restrooms and covered shelters at the parking area near Picacho Mountain.
Night Sky Viewing
Not only will you be able to enjoy plenty of clear nights, but the park's remote location will ensure that there isn't much light pollution to interfere with your viewing experience. In fact, you'll be able to see thousands of nebulae, galaxies, and other unique celestial objects that would be very difficult to spot in a more light-polluted region. Furthermore, the dry desert air improves the stability of the atmosphere, which leads to an even better night sky viewing experience.
