Hiking and Biking
Jensen's Grove Lake Greenbelt Loop
This peaceful loop trail is located near Blackfoot, ID and takes hikers along the shores of Jensen's Grove Lake. The trail, which is suitable for hikers of all ability levels, also offers opportunities for birdwatching, fishing, and paddle boating. The route is very popular, but visitors can still enjoy solitude at certain times of the day. You can bring your dogs along, but they'll need to stay leashed.

Gibson Jack Trail
This out-and-back trail is found in Caribou-Targhee National Forest near the city of Pocatello, ID. The trail, which offers breathtaking views, is a popular destination for hiking, trail running, and mountain biking. This route features a significant amount of elevation gain, and visitors should bring along plenty of drinking water.

Wiggle Worm Trail
This loop trail is located near Pocatello and offers excellent opportunities for hiking, trail running, and mountain biking. Despite its tranquil scenery, this trail doesn't get too many visitors, making it a wonderful place to enjoy some solitude in nature. Keep in mind that parts of this trail can get muddy after it rains.

Fishing and Boating
With its location right on the banks of the Blackfoot River, Graves Creek Campground is a great destination for both fishing and paddling. Both the Blackfoot River and the nearby Blackfoot Reservoir offer the chance to reel in cutthroat trout, mountain whitefish, and rainbow trout. Non-motorized boating is permitted in the Blackfoot River, and if you head down to the reservoir, you can enjoy boating, swimming, and watersports.
Climbing
There are several quality destinations for rock climbing within a reasonable distance of Graves Creek Campground. One example is the Achilles Heel Boulder, which is located near Pocatello. Another excellent option is Massacre Rocks, where climbers will find numerous sport climbing routes ranging from 5.10a to 5.12b/c difficulty.
Wildlife Viewing
One of the closest areas offering great wildlife viewing opportunities is Bridger-Teton National Forest, which is located northeast of the BLM site. As you hike the forest's trails, you may spot animals like gray wolves, grizzly bears, black-footed ferrets, elk, moose, bighorn sheep, mule deer, coyotes, cougars, pronghorn, mountain goats, and marmots. Birdwatching enthusiasts should be on the lookout for peregrine falcons, bald eagles, sandhill cranes, trumpeter swans, and several types of hawks.
Picnicking
Graves Creek Campground is a lovely place to enjoy an afternoon picnic. The campground features picnic tables, fire rings, and vault toilets. While you're eating, you'll enjoy a serene atmosphere and the sound of nearby rushing water.
