Approximately a one-hour drive from Versailles State Park, Hones Pointe Campground and Park is a fantastic place to unwind and explore nature. Located along the Little Kentucky River, it has several sites available for enjoyment. Anglers can try their luck fishing at the river while viewing the beautiful nature that surrounds it. There's something for athletes too! Activities such as biking, volleyball, tetherball, hiking and badminton are available. The park also has nature trails along which you can take a horse ride with friends and family. Amenities include hookups, picnic tables and bathhouses.

City of Madison Campground

The City of Madison Campground is just 34 minutes' drive from Versailles State Park. This site is perfect for your camping trip while in Versailles with great outdoor activities, hiking trails, beautiful views, easy accessibility and full hookups. Located in Madison on a 2-acre riverfront property, the campground has access to the historic downtown. The campground offers 34 top-class sites with 18 surrounded by the scenic Ohio River. The bathhouse is fully equipped with hot showers, toilets and a dump station. The campsites also feature electrical hookups and a water supply.

Muscatatuck County Park

Tucked at a corner in North Vernon, 24.8 miles from Versailles State Park, Muscatatuck County Park features a picnic site, camping areas and a playground. You can also access the Muscatatuck River for countless fun activities. The park has approximately 10 miles of trail for multiple uses. The trails favor all levels of expertise, from advanced to beginners. You can tag along with your bike or come with your family for the annual DINO Mountain Biking series hosted at the county park. If you're a rock-climbing enthusiast, Muscatatuck is the only park in Indiana where you can show off your climbing skills. Be sure to check in at this fantastic pack for some great outdoor activities. Amenities include water and electric hookups, picnic tables and fire rings at the 26 campsites. The charges are $28 per night for full hookups.

Situated just an hour's drive from Cincinnati, Versailles State Park is easy to find. You can access it using different routes, but you'll always end up on US-50 where you'll have a few miles to cover until you reach the park entrance.

There's no entry fee from early November to late March. During the rest of the year, the park is open from sunrise to sunset, and the day-use fee is the following:
