Things to Do at Redwood National and State Parks
Howland Hill Road
This is a 10-mile scenic drive through old-growth redwoods along Mill Creek, with Stout Grove, a ½ mile walk through a river bottom grove of incredible trees. This is a beautiful little stretch of land in the North.
Enderts Beach and Crescent Beach Overlook
You can stand before the Pacific Ocean with amazing views from the overlook with the possibility of even seeing a gray whale! Walk to Enderts Beach, an access route to multi-colored, variety of tidepool creatures. Low tide times are the best to visit.
This is a prime spot for watching the gray whale migration and watching other marine wildlife and seabirds anytime of the year. You can hike ¼ mile down a steep trail to the lower overlook and more dramatic views.
Kuchel Visitor Center
The Kuchel Visitor Center is located one mile South of Orick and is the parks largest visitor center with numerous exhibits, a 12-minute video, and beach access. This is definitely the place to come and learn about the surrounding area in an RV rental near Redwood National Park!
