Smoky Mountain Meadows is located halfway between Nantahala Gorge and Bryson City, near Highway 74. Plenty of RV pull-through sites are provided here, and many of the sites are in the shade. Tents are no problem, and there are a lot of attractions in the surrounding area.
There is so much to explore at this campground. You can go tubing down Deep Creek or try some whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River. Ride the Great Smoky Mountain Scenic Railway, or visit some nearby antique stores and flea markets. Kayaking and paddleboarding are options too, and so is gem mining. Go golfing at the nearby course, or enjoy some water skiing.
“The best campground ever. Most spots are shaded and the babbling brook is an added bonus. Beautiful views in the morning and evening. Staff are very nice and accommodating.” - Debbie, RoverPass Review
