Treasure Beach RV Park & Campground is only about three miles east of Williamsville off of Lighthouse Road in Selbyville.

Cape Henlopen State Park Campground

Cape Henlopen State Park Campground offers something that you won’t see just anywhere: 100-amp hookups! The campground provides a few pull-through sites that are 100 feet long along with showers, full restrooms, a camp convenience store, and more. It’s close to the ocean, so you can enjoy a short constitutional on your way to the beach to swim during the warm weather. There’s also a picnic pavilion so that you and some fellow RVers can enjoy an outdoor party any time. Cape Henlopen State Park itself is in Lewes.

Big Oaks Family Campground

Big Oaks Family Campground is situated in Rehoboth Beach just two miles from Delaware’s sandy coastline. The campground provides 45 RV campsites for temporary visitors with full hookups and 30-amp or 50-amp service. Each site connects to a Wi-Fi service with streaming capability. Other amenities include restrooms with flush toilets, hot showers, a laundry facility, an on-site RV service, and a camp store that sells groceries, RV supplies, firewood, and ice. The campground provides a heated swimming pool, shuffleboard, a playground, a rec hall with a game room, and planned activities each evening.

Tall Pines Campground and Resort

Located in Lewes on Delaware’s coastline, Tall Pines Campground Resort offers 22 RV campsites with water and 50-amp hookups. Other amenities provided by the park include a dump station, trash pickup, restrooms, and hot showers. This luxury RV campground offers Wi-Fi and cable television services along with a camp store that sells groceries, firewood, RV supplies, and ice. Along with access to the ocean beaches, Tall Pines Campground Resort provides a swimming pool, splash pad, horseshoes, shuffleboard, a rec hall with a game room, and organized activities designed to add fun to any family vacation.

Holly Lake Campsites

An excellent site for luxury camping in Delaware, Holly Lake Campsites is a gated facility located in Millsboro, just nine miles inland from Delaware’s sandy beaches. Holly Lake offers 620 RV campsites for temporary guests, 40 of which provide full hookups with 30-amp or 50-amp service. Excellent Wi-Fi service provides streaming capability for four mobile devices per campsite. Other amenities include community restrooms, bathhouses with hot showers, metered LP gas, and a camp store that sells groceries, firewood, ice, and RV supplies. Amenities unique to this park include a fishing pond, a swimming pool, splash pad, a rec hall with a game room, nature trails, an 18-hole mini-golf course, and planned seasonal activities.

Where to Go Luxury Camping in Delaware

Though Delaware has no national parks, the state does offer 17 state parks. Delaware state parks are all pet-friendly as long as you keep your pet on a leash and clean up after it. Many of them have dog runs as well. The state parks also provide self-guided interpretive tours about the flora and fauna of the area. You can swim at places like Delaware Seashore State Park and steep yourself in history at First State Heritage State Park. Any state park near the coast provides excellent Atlantic Ocean fishing, too.

Make the Most of Luxury Camping in Delaware

When luxury camping in Delaware, there are several ways to make your trip as enjoyable as possible.

  • Check the local weather: Delaware’s average temperature is mild in each season compared to other states. Summer temperatures don’t generally exceed the mid-80s, while winters don’t fall below the high 20s. Still, it pays to dress appropriately for whichever season you visit Delaware. During the summer, that means a wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen, and loose clothing that allows air to circulate. For the winter, a layered approach works well.
  • Pack smart: If you plan on hiking during the summer, bring at least a gallon of water per person per hour. Sunglasses are an excellent idea on the beach to protect your eyes from the reflected sunlight off the ocean. Having extra pairs of socks with you is always a good idea during a hike in any season, but especially in winter.
