Leave No Trace
The Bureau of Land Management's Leave No Trace policy is simple: leave the land exactly as you found it. This means no littering, no digging holes, and no damaging plants or wildlife. The Leave No Trace policy applies to all public lands, including national parks, forests, and monuments. In mud springs canyon, for example, Leave No Trace principles include staying on established trails, packing out all trash, and respecting wildlife. By following the Leave No Trace policy, we can help to preserve our public lands for future generations.
