Klonzo Trailhead

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is responsible for 1 in every 10 acres of land in the U.S.

Established in 1946, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) manages more than 245 million acres of public land. These public lands make up around 10% of the country's total area, including 22.8 million acres in Utah. It is the BLM's responsibility to conserve and oversee the management of these lands, ensuring that they can be utilized and enjoyed by both current and future generations. Bureau of Land Management campgrounds and recreational areas are a great way to experience the unique geography found in Utah. You can stay at BLM sites in the state for up to two weeks per month. The agency asks that you use existing sites and fire rings when camping, if available, to reduce your impact on the local environment. Located in the southwestern part of Utah 15 miles north of Moab, Klonzo Trailhead is a renowned outdoor recreational destination that offers breathtaking scenery and a variety of activities for nature enthusiasts. This area is known for its unique red rock formations, towering mesas, and striking desert landscapes. The Klonzo Trailhead site allows you to enjoy numerous recreational activities, including hiking, mountain biking, and running, on the well-maintained network of trails that wind through the area. Leave No Trace Leaf

'Leave No Trace" guidelines allow you to enjoy public lands while limiting your environmental impact. When vacating a campsite, leave it in good condition for the next camper by properly disposing of trash and food waste. In addition, when exploring, use designated trails to prevent soil erosion, especially in desert habitats, which are more fragile than most.
