Hanging Rock Recreation Site

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is responsible for 1 in every 10 acres of land in the U.S.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), a federal government agency, watches over hundreds of diverse stretches of federal land all over the western United States. Because so many of the agency's administered sites contain attractive camping destinations, BLM camping has developed into a popular hobby for outdoor enthusiasts. Between the peaceful campgrounds, recreational opportunities, and unique attractions, BLM camping offers something for just about anyone who enjoys getting out in nature.

The Hanging Rock Recreation Site sits along the scenic Beaver River in southwestern Utah, a short distance north of the Dixie National Forest and just west of Beaver, Utah. Those who visit the BLM area enjoy serene camping, nearby fishing, and plenty of beautiful nature trails to explore. Search for "BLM camping near me" as you approach your destination to see what accommodations will best suit your trip.

As you progress, you'll be greeted with wonderful views of the surrounding hills and mountain peaks. There's ample parking available at the trailhead, and the best time to visit is between May and October. Even at peak times, the Delano Ridgeline Trail doesn't get especially busy, so you should expect a quiet, peaceful hike.

The Hanging Rock Recreation Site does allow RV camping, but it must be of the primitive variety. The BLM site doesn't offer any services, amenities, or RV hookups, and there aren't any other Bureau of Land Management campgrounds nearby. However, if you're in search of an established campground with more modern features, you're in luck, as Minersville State Park is only a few minutes east of the BLM site. The campground at the park boasts electric hookups, sewage disposal, drinking water, showers, modern restrooms, and much more.
