Cedar City Field Office

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is responsible for 1 in every 10 acres of land in the U.S.

If you've spent much time traveling the United States and camping or partaking in outdoor recreation, there's a good chance you've spent some time on land maintained by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The BLM administers federal land all over the country, with hundreds of sites featuring serene camping areas and beautiful, unique scenery. Due to the prominence of these sites, BLM camping is a well-known activity for those who love the outdoors and connecting with nature. There may even be opportunities for BLM camping in your area; you can check the BLM website or search online for "BLM camping near me."

One site under the administration of the BLM is Cedar City Field Office, which is responsible for administering more than two million acres of land across Utah's Iron and Beaver Counties. The office is located in southeastern Utah in the town of Cedar City. While the Cedar City Field Office isn't a campground or outdoor recreational area, there are plenty of opportunities for fun outdoor activities within a reasonable distance. For example, the stunning Zion National Park is located only thirty miles to the south, and the lush greenery of Dixie National Forest is only about twenty miles to the east.
