Planning your Glasgow OHV BLM trip

Montana is a land of extremes with cold and hot temperatures possible throughout the year. During the winter months, the land becomes frigid and snow-covered, so packing warm clothes and preparing to remain in place during heavy snowfall needs to be high on your list of priorities. The warmer months of the year offer different challenges; mosquitoes, and ticks are a problem for hikers, so bring plenty of insect repellent.

Glasgow is close to the settlement of Wolf Point. For major banking institutions and grocery stores, the cities of Billings and Great Falls are less than 50 miles from the Glasgow OHV area. Before you head out on your trip, check out our blog for all you need to know about BLM camping.

Leave No Trace Leaf

The Bureau of Land Management free camping option is offered as part of the public program from the BLM. To ensure that the cost of camping does not increase, the Leave No Trace initiative was introduced. The idea is for RV campers and tent users to clean up after themselves during and after their stays. RVers should dispose of camping equipment, trash, and waste, and you should be sure to respect all plant and wildlife.
