Seminoe State Park is a public recreation area at the foot of the Seminoe Mountains that features unique opportunities for outdoor recreation. It also offers access to the Seminoe Dam, a scenic thick-arch dam on the North Platte River, and the Seminoe Reservoir. The Seminoe Reservoir was constructed in the 1930s, and the state park was eventually established through an agreement between the state and the United States Bureau of Reclamation in 1965. It is located in Carbon County, Wyoming, and two of the closest cities include Casper and Douglas. The recreation area offers access to a variety of exciting activities, some of the most popular being swimming, hiking, fishing, and wildlife spotting. The name "Seminoe" is based on Basil Cimineau Lajeunesse, a French trapper who was a significant figure in the area in the 1800s.

Fishing is very common at Seminoe State Park, and the 19,000 acres of water include species such as trout and walleye. In fact, guests have caught state-record walleye at the Seminoe Reservoir in recent years. Some of the many animals that roam the premises include moose, elk, mountain lions, bobcats, rabbits, bighorn sheep, bald eagles, and mule deer. Picnic tables, a group picnic shelter, and a playground are resources you can use to enjoy an afternoon with the family. Visitors often drive to Seminoe State Park from Fort Collins, Colorado. Begin the route by taking South Sherwood Street to US-287 N/N College Avenue. After following US-287 N and I-80 W to C C R 351 in Sinclair, take exit 219 from I-80 W. Follow Seminoe Road to arrive at the destination.
