How to Get to
Hamlin Beach State Park

From nearby Rochester, take I-490 W to NY-390 N. Get off NY-390 at exit 278 and get on the Lake Ontario State Parkway. Follow the Parkway west until you reach the park.

From Syracuse, take I-90 W and then take exit 45 to get on I-490 and take this through Rochester. Follow the above directions from Rochester to reach Hamlin Beach State Park.

Depending upon the season, the hours of operation will vary for Hamlin Beach State Park. You will need to make advanced reservations for campsites and shelters. Operational hours for beach swimming during the summer are from 11:00 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., and camp registration is from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for most days during the week.
