Guests can enjoy traditional nature hikes and biking along the many trails or hunting in one of the designated areas. Boat enthusiasts can launch their watercraft at one of the several accessible boating areas situated along the coast. You can hunt for small game, pheasant, and waterfowl in the designated hunting areas, but all hunters must have an NYS hunting license, a HIP number, and a federal "duck" stamp. During the summer, visitors of Golden Hill can play disc golf, go fishing, and explore the hiking areas. Ice fishing and snowmobiling are both popular throughout the winter months.

At approximately an hour away, Buffalo, NY, is the largest city near Golden Hill State Park. If you're traveling from Buffalo, take I-990 northeast to NY-78 North. From there, drive north to NY-93 East and follow that to NY-31 East. Finally, turn left onto Road 121, which will lead you to the park.
