How to Get to
Algonac State Park
Before you get your trip on the road, be sure to equip yourself with the proper directions so you can arrive safely and efficiently. Algonac State Park is located east of Detroit, Michigan, south of Lake Huron, and north of Cleveland, Ohio, across Lake Erie.
If you find yourself traveling from the north, you will want to take I-94 southwest until you can merge onto I-29 going east. Once you do so, just follow the road until you see the exit for Algonac. Coming from the west, travel along the same I-29 interstate until you can get off at the exit. Due to the location of the St. Clair River, traveling from the east and south are not options for reaching Algonac State Park. In these situations, you need to take highway 402 across the river at Sarnia and then start heading south along I-94.
Entering Algonac State Park
