RV Resorts & Campsites in Farragut State Park
Many people who visit Farragut State Park choose to camp using their visit. This makes the most sense, considering you’re likely looking to steep yourself in nature during your visit, and it’s something we think everyone should consider.
The problem for some is a lack of appropriate camping equipment. If you don’t own camping equipment, or if you simply don’t want to tent camp, you may be wondering what other options you might have. The answer? An RV rental through RVshare.

Once you have your rental picked out, you will need to seek out a place to park it during your trip. Luckily, there are some lovely campgrounds located inside Farragut State Park. This means there are plenty of sites to choose from, and many even feature full hookups.

Tamarack RV Park and Vacation Cabins
A surprisingly luxurious place located in the nearby Coeur d' Alene, Tamarack RV Park and Vacation Cabins is the place to go if you’re looking to turn on “vacation mode” and relax.
The park features full hookups as well as a variety of other options, such as Wi-Fi, propane fire pit rentals, and more. Rates here are a bit higher than at the state park, but this is understandable considering all you get out of the deal.

Blackwell Island RV Park
Another Coeur d' Alene park, Blackwell Island RV Park is a wonderful option. This park also offers a wide range of amenities. These include a swimming beach, boat launch, and free Wi-Fi and cable.
If you’re looking to camp on the water and in style, this might just be the place for you.

Ravenwood RV Resort
Looking for something a bit closer to the state park? Look no further than Ravenwood RV Resort. This park is incredibly well maintained and offers guests all sorts of comforts.
The swimming pool, basketball court, and other recreation options should keep you happily occupied throughout your stay. However, if these things don’t offer enough entertainment, you could always take their shuttle to Silverwood Theme Park next door.

Silverwood RV Park
Lastly, we must mention Silverwood RV Park. This is the official campground of Silverwood Theme Park and is just as well cared for.
The staff here are amazingly attentive, and the amenities are sure to please. Best of all, you are near Farragut State Park and on Silverwood Theme Park property. You just don’t get a much better location than that!

What to Do at
Farragut State Park
Inside Farragut State Park
Wondering what you’ll do once you actually arrive at Farragut State Park? There are tons of amazing options to choose from! Here are some of the best ones:
Walking, Hiking, and Mountain Biking — This park offers guests some lovely trails and walking paths, as well as plenty of good places to go biking. If you like to explore, you’ll love the trails found here.
Swimming — Lake Pend Oreille is a wonderful place to take a dip during the summer months. Hop into the clear water at Beaver Bay Beach, splash around, and emerge nice and cool.
Fishing and Boating — Of course, the lake can also be used for boating and fishing purposes. Head to Eagle Boat Launch with your boat and get out onto the water for a day of fun.
Disc Golf — With five 18-hole disc golf courses to choose from, you’re sure to find plenty of disc golf fun in Farragut State Park. Be sure to bring your gear with you, or plan to visit the gift shop to purchase your golf discs.
Museum — Did you know Farragut State Park was once the world’s second largest naval training station? It was, and that means it holds some pretty awesome history. Learn a bit about this history at the Museum at the Brig.
Horseback Riding — A corral and riding paths are provided for those who wish to bring their horses to the park. This is a great way to get out and about with your horse friends and do a bit of exploring.
Outside Farragut State Park
Of course, considering you’re going to be in such a great area, you are going to want to get out and about to see some things outside of the park as well. There are lots of great sights to see and restaurants to try. Below are some favorites:
Restaurants
At some point you’re bound to want to grab a bite to eat. Obviously, you could cook your meals in your RV, but sometimes eating out is just more fun. That’s when these eateries step in:
Country Boy Cafe
Offering delightful country cooking, Country Boy Cafe is a wonderful place to enjoy a meal. The welcoming staff will make you feel right at home, and you’re sure to leave feeling full and relaxed.

A great place to get all your breakfast favorites is Annie’s Country Cafe. This place offers fabulous pancakes, waffles, and omelettes, as well as a number of other delicious options. Just be sure to visit before mid-afternoon, as that’s when they close up shop.

Earlier we mentioned Silverwood Theme Park. This is a wonderful park with amusements to please everyone in your party. Be sure to visit the Boulder Beach water park as well!

Taking an adults-only trip? If so, you may want to take some time to check out Coeur d’Alene Casino. This is a great place with a lovely spa, wonderful food options, and of course, games galore.

Want even more amusement park fun? Triple Play Family Fun Park might be just the ticket. Here you’ll find go-karts, bowling, laser tag, mini golf, and even an indoor water park. What more could you ask for?
