Things to Do at Kentucky Speedway

Tailgating

With all of the college sport dynasties in the state, the people of Kentucky have learned how to tailgate pretty well over the years. The tailgating at Kentucky Speedway is no exception. People from all over the Bluegrass State gather to celebrate their love of racing, BBQ, beer, music, and the company of friends and family. Get here early to secure your spot in the parking lot with your RV, a great spot can make a big difference when you are tailgating. Some of the items that you may want to bring include: a local map, a grill, a cooler, ice, utensils and plates, a radio/mp3/cd player, garbage bags, an umbrella, sunscreen, weather appropriate clothes, chairs, charcoal and gas, lighters or matches, a fire extinguisher, food and drinks, a football, lots of water, a first aid kit, and anything else that you might think may come in handy. You’ll run into a lot of people who say they come every year, and just remember, at one time they were first timers too!

Kroger Fan Zone

The Kroger Fan Zone is the absolute best way to take your race experience to a whole’nother level. Passes cost an additional $115 that we think is well worth the cost. Some of the things that you get to experience, we feel you can’t really put a price on. The Kroger Fan Zone pass includes access to several fun activities and exclusive concessions in a designated area behind pit road and surrounding victory lane, a close up view of driver introductions and a prerace concert, lunch and dinner meals and complimentary drinks throughout the day, a view of inspection and garages on race day, access to pit road during designated times as well as possible opportunities for driver photos and autographs, and more depending on which race you attend. All of this for $115, we feel is truly a deal for any race fan.
