RV Rental Reviews near Georgetown, TX

Georgetown, Texas

Located in the heart of Texas with a population just shy of fifty thousand, you’ll find lots to love in this hidden gem of a city. The climate is hot, as is common in this part of the country. It only dips to near freezing briefly in December and January, so you won’t generally have to worry about bundling up. If you come in the summer, your biggest challenge will be finding ways to stay cool, but it is a wonderful place to visit and vacation in an RV rental Georgetown TX, as you’ll see below!

Popular Tourist Attractions

You’d be surprised at all this city has to offer. Again, it’s not a large, bustling metropolis, but there’s quite a lot to see and do here. Below are a few of our favorites.

The Williamston Museum

If you’re interested in history, then check this place out. It’s not a big, sprawling venue, and you’ll be able to make the tour in a matter of a couple hours, but it is filled with small town history and is one of the most remarkable small museums in the region. An absolutely wonderful place to visit in a motorhome rental Georgetown TX!

Inner Space Cavern

This isn’t a sprawling cave network like Mammoth or Carlsbad, but it’s fantastic, and well worth a visit. Besides, it’s got an interesting discovery story that I won’t spoil for you here. Go check it out, you’ll be glad you did.

The Georgetown Winery

Texas probably isn’t the first place you think about when you think of wines and wine country, but the Georgetown Winery is well worth a visit and has some excellent vintages. This won’t take a full day, but is a place you won’t want to miss.

Campgrounds Near Georgetown

With more than a dozen campgrounds in the area, you’re sure to find somewhere nice to stay. Below, you’ll find some of our favorites. We wouldn’t recommend these if they didn’t have clean restrooms and hot showers, so all three of them have these, and a whole lot more besides.

New Life RV Park

With prices ranging from $29 to $32.50 per night for a space, this one is easy on your wallet. You’ll find a pet friendly location (with restrictions on both breed and quantity, so call ahead), free WiFi, a pool, spa and a laundry facility. A fantastic place to park your rig.

Berry Springs RV Park

You get a lot for your flat fee of $30 per space, per night. Pets are welcome here, and you’ll have access to free WiFi. There’s also a Rec. Hall, an ice machine on site, and a laundry facility. Best of all, with Good Sam, Military, and AAA discounts, you’re likely to get the space for even less. A tremendous value.

La Hacienda RV Resort

Prices here range from $48 to $57 a night. Pets are welcome, and you’ll find a heated pool, a Rec. Hall, and a spa here. In addition, there’s an ice machine on site, a laundry facility, and LP gas by meter available if you want or need it. Cable service on demand? You’ve got that too!

Events

The Red Poppy Festival

Georgetown is the “Red Poppy Capital of Texas. Each spring, thousands of them bloom, and the spectacle they create draws tens of thousands of visitors annually, each spring. There’s nothing else quite like it, so if you’re planning a visit anytime in the spring, definitely check it out and bring your camera. It’ll take your breath away.

The Southwestern Arts Festival

Held on the first Saturday in April, this fantastic one day event hosts a stunning array of arts, crafts, musical performances and food for your enjoyment. It doesn’t last long, but it is not to be missed if you’re in the area that weekend in a trailer rental Georgetown TX!

Chisholm Trail Days

Held the second weekend of October each year to celebrate Georgetown’s place as a stop along the Chisholm trail, this is probably one of the coolest things you’ll ever see. A real, honest-to-goodness Longhorn Cattle Drive. If you’ve never experienced one, then plan on being here for this. It’s out of this world.

Georgetown has so much to see, and so much to offer. If you’ve never been, put this one high on your list of places to visit next. If you’ve already been, you’re probably already planning your next trip, and we’ll see you there!
