First time RV rental. Not sure what to expect. Very unhappy for many reasons. 1. RV had much wear and tear. holes in wood trim. fabric on dinette seats is worn. 2. according to VIN number, the RV is is a 2013, not 2014. 3. Mechanically, the car would not start several times unless the gear lever was in just the "right" position or pressure had to be applied with two feet on the brake. One time the car started, but it could not go over 40 MPH. Dashlight "wrench" came on. I turned off the car and with great trepication restarted- car worked as expected. Starting the car was unpredictable 4. The engine battery performed pooly causing very hazardous driving contitions. 5. The RV came with only a few plates, pots and pans. Knives, forks spoons were not present. 6. The fan over the bunk bed did not work. The TV cable was not connected. 7 MOST SIGNIFCANT: There is a substantial leak into the black (sewer) holding tank. This leak was caused by the pedal valve not working properly and resulted in running water into the black tank until it was full and overflowed. It took less than 24 hours for the black tank to fill up completely and back flowed the toilet bowl to the brim. This resulted in TWO over flows of water into the RV. The toilet itself was was not sealed properly at the base and water flowed into the subfloor leaking to the outside by the rear wheel well. This means that this RV IS NOT SELF CONTAINED and an environmental hazard as sewage is leaking onto the ground. RV share should take responsibility to ensure RV is up to minimal standards!!! I was fortunate to have my son-in-law with me, who is a full time RVer, help deal with these issues. Leo should remove the word "FUN" from his tag line.

The battery on the unit was not connected and the water tank was not filled. We should have been made aware so we could fix. the rer bed had a queen size mattress which made it impossible to get to the storage. The unit was made for a double bed.

If you are looking for an RV and want your experience to be easy and hassle free, I highly recommend renting Kens RV. We didn't bring any warm blankets or pillows but Ken and his extremely kind wife went out of there way to lend us a few from their house (note that the RV did come with sheets and several blankets, but we were 'off grid' camping in Big Sur and the nights were very cold). The RV was fully stocked with everything and anything you can think of (basically, bring food and you are set). The RV drives like a large van. You do not need any prior experience driving an RV in order to feel comfortable in this RV, which is 23 feet. We took it up through Nacimiento road, which is a very narrow (dangerous) road that leads to Big Sur, but I was quite comfortable during the drive. Note that the RV does not have solar panels to charge the battery, so if you plan to dry camp, you will either need to run the generator to charge the battery during the day, or use power sparingly of a night (which is what we did). The battery was enough to keep flash lights, etc. charged, and to run the heater a few times per night. The fridge can run off gas, so we always had a cold fridge/freezer, even when the power was low. Ken was kind enough to let us know about the Morro Bay camp site which enables you to dump the black/grey water tanks after the trip was over (this will save you $100). The process was very easy, even for a first timer! Overall, the experience of renting the van from Ken was an A++++, and the RV itself was a perfect fit for us (we have a 6 month old baby girl, so camping without an RV isn't an option at this point in time). Thanks for sharing your RV with us Ken. I hope you get a chance to head up to Big Sur one of these days! Cheers.

This was our first RVshare experience and it couldn't have gone any better. Chris was awesome! From communication, to showing us how to set up the rig, to working with us on our schedule, Chris went above and beyond. The trailer is pretty much brand new. Chris went out of his way to make sure that we were comfortable and had plenty of supplies. He threw in three camp chairs, a rechargeable flashlight and also a nice cooler which we used on our trip. The trailer itself is light and easy to tow. It is perfect for a family of four but could also be used for five comfortably. We highly recommend renting this unit from Chris. You won't be disappointed!

Awesome toy hauler! It’s a perfect size for towing, and the layout allowed plenty of room for our family of 3, plus a Great Dane. It’s an extremely clean, modern, functional trailer. The owners responded in a timely manner, were extremely friendly, and thorough on how to operate all the functions. We loved it! We’ll be buying our own after such a fun and easy experience. Highly recommend renting this hauler, you won’t be disappointed!

Our experience with this RV and owner was fantastic! For starters, Andrew is a great "host" and owner. He was responsive and easy to work with. The entire process from "requesting a quote" to "pick-up" and return was about as seamless as you could get. The RV is in excellent shape. It is essentially brand new. It is meticulously clean and comfortable and easily served as our home away from home on our recent vacation. We rented this RV for 5 days in order to explore the coastal California Redwoods and Redwood National Park. This RV easily handled the travel from the central valley to Klamath, CA and back. All the "hook-ups" were easy and the accessories were in "mint condition." Northern CA is very pristine and this RV easily supported "daily life" (galley cooking, showers, etc.) for our family of 5. We are "novices" in the art of "motorhome camping," having previously utilized "pull behind trailers" only for such endeavors. Andrew is a great owner and made this outing easy. I would highly recommend renting this 2017 Minnie Winnie and will look to do this again!!
