Welcome to Rockville is an annual event held at the Metropolitan Park in Jacksonville. Since 2011, it has showcased modern and classic rock, as well as metal bands. It is one of the largest concerts of its kind in the country, with an estimated 90,000 people flocking to the event in 2018 alone. This year, attendance is only set to grow, especially with musical acts such as Nine Inch Nails, Metallica, Disturbed, and Lynard Skynyrd joining its 2021 lineup.

Welcome to Rockville has an impressive offering of amenities, including several food trucks, restaurants, and eateries, as well as bars, ATMs, a phone charging station, restroom facilities, lockers, and more. Jacksonville International Airport is the only major airport in North Florida, however, it is just 20 minutes north from Downtown Jacksonville. If you choose to rent a car from the airport, you can get into town by taking the main airport road (Airport Road) to Interstate 95. Head south on I-95 towards Jacksonville and stay on the freeway until you reach Exit 353 B, which will take you onto West Union Street. Union Street will take you to the Sports and Entertainment district of downtown, where Welcome to Rockville takes place.
If you’re traveling downtown from the Airport by bus, Jacksonville Transportation Authority Route 1 (North Main/JIA) will get you to the Rosa Parks Transit Station in the heart of downtown, which will connect you to the rest of the JTA system.
Jacksonville is served by two interstates, Interstate 95, which comes in from Georgia, and Interstate 10, which dead ends in Jacksonville coming in from the west.
