The Washougal National is a standout event on the AMA Pro Motocross Championship calendar, marking the eighth round of the series. For motocross fans, it's a thrilling opportunity to witness top riders battle for points in one of the most scenic locations in the sport. Beyond the race, the venue offers a variety of activities for visitors to enjoy. You can fish in the track's private stocked pond or unwind in the peaceful picnic areas tucked in the surrounding woods. The track itself provides fantastic opportunities for photographers, with its winding curves through lush evergreen forests, making it an ideal spot to capture the dynamic action of the race and the natural beauty of the region.
Washougal MX Park offers a variety of seating options, including grandstand and open-air festival seating, with a designated handicapped viewing area. For a more premium experience, there are covered Super Ticket seating and VIP viewing areas. Nearly 100% of the track is visible from multiple vantage points, including infield viewing areas. Food and beverage concessions, including beer stands, will also be available at the event.

Camping is available on-site at Washougal MX Park for RVs. If you plan on staying at this campground, you should keep a couple of things in mind: • All campsites at this location are primitive, meaning they offer no hookups. While porta-potties will be available, there will be no shower facilities. If you are new to boondocking, check out our guide on dry camping for helpful tips. • Generators are allowed during your stay, but keep in mind that many campers will be using them, and there is some fuel exhaust from the track. Being aware of the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning is essential. To stay safe, sleep in a well-ventilated area and avoid placing your generator underneath your camper. • Two types of camping are offered at this event, including Fan Camping and Preferred Camping. Preferred Camping is generally closer to the main track and offers larger spaces for those with RVs. • No campfires are permitted. However, you are welcome to use an above-ground grill with a lid to prepare meals. • Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and reservations are not accepted. • All campers must leave the campgrounds by 10:00 a.m. on Sunday after the event. If you would rather camp somewhere else rather than at the track, consider options like Dougan Creek Campground, which offers vault toilets and picnic tables. For full-hookup camping, Vancouver Mall RV Park provides level, paved campsites suitable for all RV sizes. Additional campgrounds are available within the greater Vancouver area, though they may be slightly farther from the event.
If you prefer to stay in a hotel, there are several nearby options: • Camas Boutique Hotel is located in downtown Camas, about 15 miles from the track, and is surrounded by restaurants and shops. The hotel features an on-site clothing boutique, a sushi restaurant, and pet-friendly rooms. • The Holiday Inn Express & Suites of Camas-Vancouver offers free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, and an indoor pool and fitness center. Situated near Interstate 205, this hotel also provides pet-friendly rooms. • Another option is the Hilton Vancouver Washington, which is across the street from Esther Short Park and the Vancouver waterfront. Amenities include an on-site restaurant featuring seafood and a fitness center.
From Portland, take I-5 to I-205, then head east on Highway 14 to Washougal. Turn left on 15th St., continue for 8.5 miles, and make a left onto 412th/Alder Rd. Then, turn left onto Borin Rd. The track will be a half mile down on your right. Portland International Airport (PDX) is the nearest major airport. Once you land, follow the directions above to reach Washougal MX Park.
Parking at Washougal MX Park requires a parking pass, except for those parking at campsites. If you have additional vehicles at your campsite, you will need to purchase an extra parking pass. Parking passes are valid for the entire day of the event and will be available for purchase on-site when you arrive.
Tickets are available to purchase online and range in price, starting at $30 per person. VIP tickets offer an extended four-day experience, including pre-race access.
