The Wisconsin State Fair is an annual, 10-day event that is held at the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis. It was first held in 1851 in Janesville, attracting approximately 13,000 to 18,000 people. The fair has grown in popularity considerably since its early days, with the 2019 event attracting 1,130,572 people (a record-breaking attendance).

ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT

When it comes to entertainment and fun activities, there’s certainly a lot to keep you busy at the Wisconsin State Fair. This year’s event will include arts and displays, educational exhibits, thrilling rides, several markets, and more. Favorites include SpinCity (which features more than 50 rides and 30 games), the Daily Parade, and the hundreds of adorable animals on-show in numerous barns throughout Ag Village.

RVING AT THE EVENT

There is actually an RV park conveniently located at the State Fair Park. It’s the only RV Park in Metro Milwaukee and it is open year-round.

From the North

I-41 Southbound to I-94 Eastbound. East on I-94 to 84th Street exit. At stoplight, continue straight onto West Kearney Street. Turn right into North Parking Lot. If lot is full, proceed to 76th Street and turn right for additional parking options.

I-41 Southbound to Bluemound Road exit. Left (east) on Bluemound Road to Glenview/84th Street. Right (south) on 84th Street to Kearney Street. Left (east) on Kearney Street to the Wisconsin State Fair North Lot on right. If lot is full, proceed to 76th Street and turn right (south) for additional parking options.

From the South

I-41/894 Northbound to I-94 Eastbound. East on I-94 to 84th Street exit. Cross 84th Street to Kearney Street. East on Kearney Street to the Wisconsin State Fair North Lot on right. If lot is full, proceed to 76th Street and turn right (south) for additional parking options.

I-41/894 Northbound to I-94 Eastbound. East on I-94 to 70th Street exit. Right (south) on 70th Street to Greenfield Avenue. Right (west) on Greenfield Avenue to the Wisconsin State Fair on right.

I-94 Westbound to 68th Street exit. Continue west on O’Connor Street to 70th Street. Left (south) on 70th Street to Greenfield Avenue. Right (west) on Greenfield Avenue to the Wisconsin State Fair on right. I-94 Westbound to 68th Street exit. Continue west on O’Connor Street to 76th Street. Left (south) on 76th Street to the Wisconsin State Fair on right. I-94 Westbound to 84th Street exit. Left (south) on 84th Street to Kearney Street. From the West

I-94 Eastbound to 84th Street exit. At stoplight, continue straight onto West Kearney Street. Turn right into North Parking Lot or proceed to South 76th Street, turn right and proceed to gates on South 76th Street or West Greenfield Avenue.

I-94 Eastbound to WIS 100 exit. Right (south) on WIS 100 to Greenfield Avenue. Left (east) on Greenfield Avenue to the northbound entrance ramp at Greenfield Avenue to I-94 Eastbound. East on I-94 to 84th Street exit. Cross 84th Street to Kearney Street. East on Kearney Street to the Wisconsin State Fair North Lot on right. If lot is full, proceed to 76th Street and turn right for additional parking options.

PARKING

Paid parking is available. Parking is $15 per vehicle and $8 per motorcycle. Preferred Parking $25 and Accessible Parking options are available. Parking services at State Fair Park are provided by Interstate Parking Company. All parking is first come, first served.
