The 27th Annual Arts, Beats & Eats will take place in Downtown Royal Oak. The festival offers more than 200 performances on nine stages, a highly ranked Juried Fine Arts Show, and local restaurants with some of the finest cuisine in Metro-Detroit. Each year these international, regional and local festival attractions make the City of Royal Oak the premier destination for Labor Day weekend.

Check in begins at 9:30am at the Sherman and Lafayette Parking Structure. Event entrance for free ends at 12pm.

DIA KIDS STAGE LEADS FUN PROGRAMMING LINE-UP
The Detroit Institute of Arts presents curated family entertainment on the DIA Kids Stage. These special performances are the type of entertainment families can experience at the museum throughout the year. Remember that admission to the Detroit Institute of Arts is free for all Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb residents.
Additional stage performers include Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music and the Michigan Science Center. Explore various science topics using large scale demonstrations that are sure to wow curious minds of all ages. Experience the power of air pressure and learn how to defy gravity in this exciting group presentation. Also be sure to stop by our tent for some fun hands-on activities!
Love Zumba® Fitness? Join the Party!
On Saturday September 2th, the Priority Health Zumbathon will transform the Michigan Lottery Stage into a red-hot, exhilarating dance fitness explosion from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. In 2021, 1600 people participated in this sold out Zumba Fitness party at the festival. In conjunction with Vibe Fit Studio a metro Detroit fitness studio, the class will feature over 150 other local Zumba instructors from across Michigan.

FREE Parking for the Zumbathon from 8:30am to 12pm in the Center Street Parking Structure, 300 S. Center, downtown Royal Oak (on Center Street between 2nd and 3rd Streets.)

To protect neighborhoods near the Arts, Beats & Eats Festival from traffic, parking congestion, noise and litter, on-street parking will be allowed on a PERMIT-ONLY basis August 30 - September 3.
If you park on the street, you must display a valid permit, with the address visible through the windshield, on the front, driver’s side, corner of your dashboard to avoid a $50 parking ticket. Permits are ONLY valid within 200 feet of the address displayed on the front. PERMITS ARE NOT VALID ON FOURTH STREET OR LINCOLN AVENUE but may be used to park on the side street nearest the address displayed on the front.
If you reside in an area where permanent permit parking restrictions are already in effect, those permits are not valid during the Arts, Beats & Eats Festival.
Vehicles that are parked in a permit parking only zone without a valid permit can be ticketed and/or towed at the Police Department’s discretion.
Admission to the festival is $(TBA) before 3pm, $(TBA) before 5pm, and $(TBA) after 5pm.
