This seasonal campground, which sits between two mountain peaks, gives campers the chance to really experience Mother Nature in all her beauty. The sites are primitive, but there is water available at each spot, and the staff is very accommodating. The location affords quick access to the highway, so you can also visit all the other attractions in the area.
Campers will enjoy the fishing on Abbot Lake as well as the miles of trails to hike and the wildlife to observe. There are no amenities to speak of, but that’s a plus for those who truly enjoy rustic surroundings. If you really need to see civilization, there are some places to shop in nearby Bedford and a small camp store on location.
“I loved the setting of this rather rustic campground. A lot of space between the sites on our circle. Privacy and quiet abound. Hiking trails to all of the areas in the park and a cute camp store.” – Holly, RV Park Reviews
