This park offers a more nature-oriented experience for people who are RV camping in Virginia Beach. There are plenty of wooded areas, and the campsites are surrounded by lush oaks and other trees providing shade from the sun and seclusion from other campers. Here, you can enjoy roasting marshmallows by the fire while looking up at a star-filled night sky.
Spend your days hiking through miles of trails to really see the wildlife of the area firsthand, or head down to the Chesapeake Bay for some fun activities on the water. After that, you can grab something to eat at one of the many fine restaurants in Virginia Beach or go back to the park and catch a show at their amphitheater.
“Premier state park of Virginia. Sites are as close to the Chesapeake Bay as you can get. Shaded site afforded privacy and seclusion. While you can make out sounds of adjoining sites you can’t really see anyone.” – Big Guy, RV Park Reviews
