Another one of the RV campgrounds in Cumberland Valley, Pennsylvania, worth checking out is Drummer Boy Camping Resort. It is just minutes from downtown Gettysburg, so if you want to explore Civil War history, this is the place to stay. There are also ghost walks in town and other nearby areas to explore.
While the campground tries to keep a Civil War theme, one of the amenities that most campers enjoy is the 250-foot waterslide that ends in the pool. Both young and old guests are free to try the slide. There is also a whirlpool at the pool.
“Great family campground. Lots of varied activities for kids. Clean, well maintained, well run. We only stayed a week in June. Other months planned more for kids.” – Joyce, Google Review
